Mi-T-M is one of the largest manufacturers that is making air compressors for the vastest range of applications out there. These applications include all sorts of residential, commercial, and industrial needs that one might have. With all these applications, quality is never compromised and you can expect perfect durability and reliability on these air compressors. Performance under pressure is their slogan and their air compressors live up to that perfectly.

Mi-T-M is the name of trust and they are making different sorts of air compressors. These air compressors are used in Pressure Washers, Generators, Welders, Portable Heaters, Water Pumps, Trailers, Vacuum Cleaners, and whatnot. No matter what needs you might have, there is always something in their inventory that will suit your requirements.

With such a wide range of air compressors, come durability and reliability too. There are several service centers being run by Mi. T-M and honor the warranties as well. However, some common problems that you might have to face and their solutions are:

Common Mi-T-M Air Compressor Problems:

1. Oil Leakage

Most of these air compressors that you can get from Mi. T-M comes with a motor that runs on either gasoline or electricity. You might be using gasoline or an electric one, but all of these air compressor motors work the same as your car’s engine and there are metallic parts inside these motors creating the energy. These metallic parts also need oil as a lubricant to reduce friction and avoid overheating problems on the motor of your air compressor. However, the oil can leak at times and cause you inconvenience. Here are a few things that you need to take care of to avoid such problems in the first place and fix them in the right manner.

To avoid that problem, first of all you need to use the right grade and quality of the lubricant oil that is mentioned on the user manual. Study the manual carefully and get the right grade of oil for your motor. It would be better if you use synthetic oils to ensure maximum protection on the motor. If the oil grade is not right and recommended, it might be either thick or thin and that can cause you to have leakage problems in the oil chamber.

Another thing that you will need to take care of is that you need to fill the exact amount of oil that is required. This should be pretty simple and you don’t have to worry much about it. Consult the manual and only fill the right amount of oil. After that, check the gauge and make sure that the oil is not less or more than the optimal amount required. This is going to ensure that your oil is not causing excess pressure in the chamber due to overflow and causing leakages. Overflow of the oil can cause the chamber to explode or more pressure can make the rubber parts leak. On the other hand, less oil can cause the chamber to get overheated due to friction and that is also dangerous for you. You will have to top it up regularly to ensure there are no such issues.

2. Intake Problems

These industrial and commercial air compressors that you get from Mi. T-M also requires a bigger air intake. Ultimately, that means more airflow going inside the compressor. You will need to ensure that the air intake inlet is not blocked by anything. The obstacle might be stopping the flow of air and causing problems for your air compressor to suck in the air. If it is blocked, you will have to make sure that you are pointing it towards the open air.

After that, you will need to take care of the air filter and if it is clogged or dirty, that will cause the air compressor to have these problems. Make sure that you clean the air inlet regularly for dust particles. You will have to ensure to take off the air filter and clean it if you are facing some issues as well. If needed, replace the air filter and that will solve the problem for you optimally. Be mindful to get the air filter from Mi. T-M only as that would suit you best.
