NuMax is the first choice for you to have if you are looking for oil-free air compressors. These air compressors that you can get from NuMax, range from mini handheld air compressors for air tools to some bigger commercial air compressors. That wide range allows them to have perfection with these tools and you will not have to face many issues while using these tools. However, there are some common problems that people come across and you must know them with their optimal solutions to get them fixed.

NuMax Air Compressor Problems

1) Cord Issues

Most of the time when your air compressor is not working, it is due to cord issues. The cords that are used on these air compressors have wires in them that are pretty sensitive and you will have to take care of these. When you are not using the air compressor, you will have to keep these cords wrapped properly, and don’t just leave them here and there.

If your air compressor is not working and turning on, you will have to inspect the power cord thoroughly. Make sure that the power cord is not damaged at some point, or have any signs of sharp bends or wear and tear on it. This is going to help you figure out the problem. If you find any signs of damage or wear and tear on the cords, you should be getting it replaced and that is going to optimally fix the problem for you for good.

2) Leakage

Leakage is a common issue that you might have to face on these air compressors that come with a tank. While the tank is of optimal build quality and there are no leakage issues on the tank itself. The same can not be said for the valves and all the other inlets and outlets on the tank. These valves and inlets have rubber seals on them that might get damaged with time and cause the air to bleed out of the tank.

If you find some hissing sound on your air compressor, that certainly means air is bleeding out. You will have to make sure that you are figuring out the source of the leak if you want to fix it. Once you do that, the rest of the troubleshooting gets a whole lot easier for you.

If you find leakage on any of the rubber parts that are there on the tank, you will have to replace them. This mostly happens with the rubber seals or the pipes that are being used with the air compressor. The rubber has a life, and it tends to break after that, causing you to have such issues. Replacement would be the perfect solution to this problem for you.

If you find leakage at some valves or gauges like the pressure valve, you will have to unscrew it from the tank and clean it once. That is going to help you out in fixing the leakage properly once you have screwed it back tightly. If that doesn’t work, you will have to replace the valve to solve the problem.
