Grip-Rite is not something that you should choose if you have a residential application or some small-scale application in your mind. They are pioneers in making all sorts of right tools for commercial and industrial applications and the same goes for their Air Compressors.

Grip-Rite has air compressors ranging from 1 Gallon and 1 HP to 9 Gallon and 9 HP. That way, you can get yourself the right air compressor that you need to have for the requirement in mind. A few common problems that you might have to face with these air compressors and their optimal solutions are:

Grip-Rite Air Compressor Problems

1) Hose Leakage

While there are no durability problems and issues with these air compressors, you still need to be careful about the hoses. The hoses on these air compressors are metallic and they are screwed on the parts of air compressors and the tank. That way, they can get lose sometimes or go bad and cause air leakage problems for you. This is not something to be worried about as it is pretty easy to fix.

You need to diagnose first that where the leakage is actually coming from. If it is from some joint or the screwing part, you will have to turn off the air compressor and unscrew the hose after draining the tank. Clean the hose perfectly and then screw it back on the air compressor or the tank it was at. This is going to help you out in the right manner and you will not have to face the problem again.

However, if the leakage is coming from some crack at the hose itself, it would be better to get it replaced as no fix will be good enough for that and it might be dangerous to try fixing it using some leakage blocker.

2) Belts squeaks

These air compressors have a belt that runs and that might cause squeaking sounds sometimes. This is a problem that you will have to face with all the pulleys that are rotated using a belt. However, to start the troubleshooting, you will have to make sure that you are taking good care of the belt.

These belts are made of rubber and you will have to keep them lubricated so that they don’t cause much friction on the metal parts and that will cause damage and wear and tear on the belts. Another thing that you will need to take care of is keeping these belts away from the water as the water can cause these belts to get hard and that is obviously something that you wouldn’t want to have on your belts. Once the belt gets hard, it causes noise and also have more chances of breaking down. Simply put, keep the belt in the right condition by keeping it lubricated.

If it is causing some squeaking sounds for you, you will have to lubricate it and see if the sounds go away. If the sounds are still there, you will have to replace the belt with the same size and that is optimally going to fix the problem for you.
