Hitachi is one of the largest tech brands out there. They are a conglomerate based out of Japan and got their legs in so many things that it might be hard to classify them in a single place. Hitachi is making some air compressors too, and it would be an understatement to call them a few. From small portable air compressors to some of the largest air compressors that you might want to use for commercial or industrial purposes, Hitachi makes it all.

The size, power, and capacity, you name it and you can get it off the Hitachi line of these durable air compressors. They are using state-of-the-art technologies and some cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. All that allows you to have your pick on the stuff that you would like to have. Not only that, but you can get the perfectly designed air compressors for whatever applications that you might have on your mind. There are not many issues with the durability that you will have to face, yet there are certain things that you might need to know and take care of.

Hitachi Air Compressor Problems

1) Won’t Turn On

Nothing feels worse than an air compressor not turning on when you want it to or have some work to do with it. This might be a problem that you can face with these air compressors at times. These air compressors have some of the best safety mechanisms out there and all of them will protect these air compressors from turning on if something is off.

First of all, you will have to check on the electrical problems. To start with, you will need to get a voltage stabilizer and install it with your bigger air compressors. This will help you to stabilize the voltages that your air compressor is getting. This way, you will be able to make it work in the right manner and the air compressor is going to turn on. After that, you should be checking on all the circuit breakers and fuses on the air compressor as well. If you find any of them blown, you can replace that and the air compressor will simply start.

Another thing that you will need to check on is the leakages and stuff like that. If any of the valve is leaking, or there might be some other problem like a bad valve, something on the drain valve, that can also cause you to have this problem. You will need to check on all of that and make sure that you replace them if you find anything problematic. This will help you out in solving the problem for good.

2) Restricted air intake

The restricted air intake is another serious problem that you will have to deal with and there is no way out of it unless you get that fixed. The restricted air intake is not only going to cause you problems with the air inlet on the air compressor, but that will also be big trouble for your motor to run. You will have to ensure that you are getting it fixed in the right manner.

Make sure to clean the air inlet for all the dust and dirt particles that might be causing it to get blocked. Not only that, but you will also need to take the air filter off and clean it up properly. If you feel like the air filter is clogged, you will have to change the air filter and that is going to fix up all the problems that you might be facing with your restricted intake.

3) Compatibility

This is not something big of an issue, but it can be quite inconvenient if you are facing this problem with your air compressor. You need to understand that these Hitachi air compressors might not be compatible with all the accessories and other parts that you might be using. This includes all the air tools and stuff like that.

You will need to ensure that you are only using the air tools, pipes, and nozzles that are compatible with the Hitachi air compressors. This way, you will be able to make it work properly and wouldn’t have to worry about these compatibility problems, if you are getting them from Hitachi.
