If it is not building the pressure due to some reasons, and you are unable to figure it out. Here is what you will have to do.

How To Fix Bostitch Air Compressor Will Not Build Pressure?

1. Check the Pressure Valve

The first thing that you should be checking is the pressure valve. You will have to ensure that your pressure valve is fine and that it is not leaking the air too fast, causing your Air Compressor to not build the right pressure that is needed for it to run perfectly. In such cases, you will have to let the Air Compressor cool down for a bit as all the airlines from the pump to the head tank are pretty hot and you should not touch them while the Air Compressor is running.

Once it is cooled down, you will need to check on the air valve and make sure that it is on the right pressure that you need and there are no apparent leaks on it that might be causing you to have this problem.

2. Check on the Oil Levels

If you have an Air Compressor that uses the oil, then you should always be careful about it. The oil is key to a machine and if it is low on the oil that is used, your air compressor will stop building the pressure. Make sure to check the oil levels and top it up to the right amount if needed to get rid of this issue. Ensure that you don’t overflow the oil levels to avoid some other problem, and you should only fill it to the mark that is recommended.

3. A Reset

While it is a mechanical device and you will not find it logical to reset, but it can work sometimes. To do that, you will have to shut it down and empty the tank completely using the drainage valve.

After that, you will have to remove and clean the pressure valve. If you feel that it is damaged, you must replace it with a new one and after that, you will be able to get the right pressure that you are expecting from your Air Compressor without getting any sorts of troubles.

4. Contact a Technician

If you are unable to make it work after you have tried everything that is listed above, there might be something more extensive that could have gone bad and you will have to get it fixed. The best way is to not open up the Air Compressor yourself and get a technician’s assistance who will be able to open up the Air Compressor correctly and fix everything that might have gone wrong.

The issue could be with anything from power supply to blown gasket and you will have to get it diagnosed properly.
