Trade-Offs in Weight and Flexibility

Thicker, three-eighth-inch hoses weighs more. They’re not quite as flexible (particularly when they’re cold). Fifty feet of it is harder to drag around on your concrete floor.

You sacrifice ease of use for performance. You get more airflow. But you give up a little portability.
